Krys Matys is the founding member of High Mount Construction. For the past twenty one years his goal as a craftsman and a leader in his field has been to provide detail-oriented canstruction services to his Fairfield County clientele.
High Mount Construction is founded on Krys’s dedication and expertise. Krys is a Registered Contractor with the State of Connecticut. He attended the School of Building Technologies in Kalwaria Zebrzydowska, Poland, where his family for generations focused on transfor-ming wood into custom furniture and crafts. Krys, his wife and their two children reside in Darien, Connecticut.

Krys’s craftsmanship was Excellent!!
We experienced no problems during construction and having now lived in our new home for 18 months the workmanship seems even better!
He was spot on Budget. We made two small changes to our plans during the work and the expense for those change orders was fair. He finished 1 week late during a six month project. His team works efficiently but never sacrifices quality.
I would highly recommend him for a large scale residential project!

My house is from 1905 and I have worked with over 10 contractors while renovating my house, our current builder is far and away the best person I have worked with.
His shining attributes are:
1) He is available at a moment’s notice. He always takes my phone calls or he returns my calls very quickly.
2) When he runs into obstacles he rearranges the building schedule so it keeps moving forward.
3) He uses common sense (i.e. no breaking up bedrock at 7 am on Saturday Mornings).
4) He finishes a part of the project and then requires payment. Every other contractor I have worked with always wanted 30% down for each project and then complete payment upon completion.
5) He keeps track of all the subcontractors so you can have receipts so no one can later put a lien on your house later on.
6) He is super nice and listens to women (many contractors appear to be gender biased).
7) He is on top of any possible issues and informs us way ahead of time.
8) There were no “surprise” costs that suddenly popped up when he was doing the addition. Any difference in cost was due to our modifications.
